431 – In Progress
Allison came to me with a drawing her friend Tania did for her. It was a great start for a tattoo desig, a thousand times better than anything anyone else has ever handed over to me to get tattooed. But still it needed a few hours of clean up work. Once I got it all drawn up we were ready to roll on the tattoo.
Note the differences between Tania’s sketch (left) and my cleaned up version (right), It’s the little things that make all the difference.
Session 1
We have a lot of work ahead of us. But we got 3 hours of line work in the first session. That neck part was a bitch, but we both got through it.

My friends Brandi and Jon, watch my kid once a week, and in exchange I give them ridiculous tattoos. haha. She wanted a invented bird. A little bit of this and a little bit of that. Here we go.

Did this as part of an art show at Gristle tattoo shop in NYC. Probably the best thing I could have done with all my old tracing paper stencils. I think Ill make more as they continue to a mass. Maybe Someone will want to buy one of me one day. haha

As I mentioned before, Coming up with ways to draw fairies in a way that isn’t super cheesy, continues to be a challenge. Im quite please with the way this turned out. If you are a follower of my blog you might recognize this drawing. I started it for another client a while back but it wasn’t right for her, I was siked to build on it for this tattoo.
This is another one you’ll see the tattooed in New York, first week of April.

More drawings for my week long guest spot at 1228 tattoo in NY. I’m all booked up for Aprils trip but Im going back out in June so holler if you want to get in!
This is a sneak peak of a back piece Ill be starting. The girl is influenced by Viveros as requested by my client but I put my own original spin on his work with the donkey .
