Kathrine loves the movie Korean movie “Lady Vengeance” so much that she wanted to get the gun from the film.  This was a lot of fun for me, since I got to do it in more of a traditional style than I might typically do a tattoo.  I love this kind of stuff. And she was a kick ass kinda client. Great day.

Session 1

This tattoo has a pretty awesome story for me.

Patrisse was kind enough to let me tattoo her when I first started and had no idea what I was doing. She was among my first 5 or 6. Even when I did it I knew it was nothing to be proud of.  I told her then that when I was better I would fix it if she’d let me. Clearly a high point in my career. haha.

Fast forward to a couple weeks ago. Turns out she;s been flowing my progress on this blog.  She got in touch after all these years and held me to my promise. Its one of those moments that let me know Im headed in the right direction.

I gave her her first hour free and put all my energy into doing her arm justice.

Session 1

She told me she wanted a non gender specific, African person in prayer. Another opportunity for me to take control of the creativity. This was a lot of fun. We have another session to finish this one up and We are already planning a cover up (not mine!) on the the other arm.

Today was a good day.

Gina had a tattoo she wasn’t really into. She wanted it covered but wasnt sure what with.

She gave me the lyrics from her the band Wesley, played at her wedding.

“I remember The black sky streaking. It was so cold, it was so cold, You held my hand, and said you loved me, I felt something, I felt something”

I thought about it for a few minutes and did my thing.

This was a lot of fun. I love when clients let me flex my creativity.

Jessica came to me with a painting done by her late father , a desire to turn it into a half sleeve and most importantly an open mind. She told me to use the painting as a reference but allowed me to do my interpretation.  I decided to stay true to the woman’s body position and the general composition but it needed a little help to bring it all together as as one cohesive piece.

Session 1 (3 hours)

I figured out exactly how to place the girl and cheetah but wanted to wait to see what it all looked like on her before adding the Buddha.
